On Monday 12 June, from 3pm to 4.30pm (CEST) the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence REBUILD, in partnership with the Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies, held an event on The Commission Legislative Proposal for the New Stability & Growth Pact: An Interdisciplinary Discussion.

On 26 April 2023 the European Commission published the draft legislative text of the reformed Stability & Growth Pact: the proposals, which build on prior policy positions outlined by the European Commission during the Covid-19 pandemic, envision a significant overhaul of the legal and political functioning of Europe’s economic governance architecture. The purpose of this event is to bring together experts from all 4 EUI departments to provide a first comprehensive interdisciplinary analysis of the Commission’s legislative proposals and its consequences for European integration.

The event took place in Sala Triaria, Villa Schifanoia, Fiesole, Italy.
